With the start of the fall semester just around the corner, LSC is pleased to receive a $15,000 donation of software from Sony Creative Software.
This generous donation will enable the department to use the latest versions of Sony software programs Vegas Pro, Acid Pro, DVD Architect and Sound Forge Pro in its video production courses and for departmental outreach activities.
“Sony Creative Software has a superb corporate ethic. It’s been a great partnership for us,” said Professor Patty Loew, whose Introduction to Digital Video Production (LSC 314) students will use the software this fall.
“LSC and Sony Creative Software have had a wonderful relationship over the years,” she added. “The company’s creative team has not only provided technical expertise to us, but also has supported our outreach efforts in Native American communities and East Africa through generous donations of software. People whose world view is sometimes muted, have found a voice because of the digital storytelling tools that Sony Creative Software has provided.”
