The Big Ten Conference has named LSC senior Michele Dalton 2011 Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Year. Dalton finished the season with the highest dave percentage (.871) in the conference. She also had the second-highest goals-against average, save percentage, saves and saves-per game ranking in the conference.
Dalton is majoring in Life Sciences Communication. She hopes to play professional soccer in the United States or internationally after finishing her degree, as well as attend graduate school in the future.
“I’ve always known that I am a skillful writer, but as a freshman in college I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. After taking a few LSC courses it felt right, that this is where I belong,” said Dalton. “I switched my major soon after and haven’t looked back. The LSC department was incredibly welcoming and helped me get on the right path towards achieving my goals.”
Congratulations Michele!
