Majors: Life Sciences Communication and Astrophysics

This internship is a huge honor and will allow me to learn more about researching and writing specific news stories. I will be able to refine my writing skills and gain valuable experience with critique and publishing for the LSC department. The experience will also allow me to work with many professional LSC faculty so that I can learn from their experience and expertise. Specifically, this will help me to focus more on science communication work and allow me to grow as writer.
Future goals: My intended career plans are to work in a museum or in the general public sector doing astronomy related outreach. I would love to work as a planetarium director or a science outreach liaison that helps the public gain a greater understanding of astronomy through outreach activities and events.
