Natasha Strydhorst

Natasha Strydhorst is an affiliate researcher in the Department of Life Sciences Communication and a Rita Allen Foundation Civic Science Fellow at the Morgridge Institute for Research. Her research interests include uncertainty communication, (dis)trust in experts, and narrative science communication. Strydhorst’s research investigates the nexus of science communication practice and scholarship, seeking ways to shore up the links between science and general audiences.

Strydhorst’s work has been published in Science Communication, Public Understanding of Science, Humanities and Social Sciences Communications, and Harvard Kennedy School Misinformation Review. She earned her Ph.D. in Science Communication from Texas Tech University, her M.S. in Science Journalism from Boston University and her B.A. in Environmental Studies and Writing from Calvin University.
