LSC students network about dairy

The Badger Dairy Club is a student organization with over 130 members. The organization creates opportunities for members to engage in activities and experiences within the College, community and the ever progressing dairy industry.

During the two week expo, BDC members help staff the event. “This allows for great bonding, connections and memories to be made along the way,” said Mayer.

BDC is open to all majors on campus allowing anyone to join, the most prominent representation coming from CALS.

Many LSC students are members of the BDC and bring a lot of the skills they have learned through class to the organization. “With events held throughout the year, we encourage our members to branch out and network within the dairy industry, while emphasizing professionalism, developing future leaders and foster club camaraderie,” explained Mayer.

“We go out of our way to connect our members with occupational opportunities and to make available the opportunity to make professional connections,” explained Mayer.

“This club has allowed me to feel more welcome to Madison and that feeling has never left,” said Mayer. “Some of my best friends here on campus were made because of this club.”
