wsum sports to broadcast rose bowl

For the second time in two years, the Wisconsin Badgers are headed back to the Rose Bowl and WSUM Madison Student Radio’s Sports Department will broadcast the game live from Pasadena. It’s the 98th Rose Bowl Game, which pits No. 10 Wisconsin vs. No. 5 Oregon.

Coverage will start at 3 p.m. CST (1 p.m. PST) on Monday, January 2nd on 91.7 FM, online at www.wsum.org (both the WSUM Live and Sports streams) and iTunes Radio under “College/university radio” and WSUM.
Kickoff is at 4:10 p.m. CST (2:10 p.m. PST). Kyle Deckelbaum, Mike Fiammetta and Sam Maxwell will call the game, while Chris Vosters and Nathan Palm will handle the pregame, halftime and postgame.

WSUM will also be doing a Remote Show to give all of the WSUM volunteers making the trip to California the chance to get on-air live from Barney’s Beanery on Dec. 31st from 6 to 8 p.m. CST (4 to 6 p.m. PST). The live broadcast will follow the Athletic Department’s Party at the Pier, which starts at 5 p.m. CST (3 p.m. PST) at the nearby Santa Monica Pier.

WSUM Sports’ “Student Section” was recently featured in UW-Madison’s YouW series, profiling senior Sam Maxwell.
