LSC 505 Publications Editing
I currently teach this course two times a year. Students learn editing skills by writing a story and editing stories using the magazine modal and also learn AP style.
LSC 350 Visualizing Science & Technology
Students learn the principles of visual communication and apply it to a scientific topic of their choice. They learn how media uses visual elements to inform and to persuade.
LSC 530 Print & Electronic Media Design
I teach this class during a 4-week summer session. It is an intense hands-on experience where students learn design principles to produce materials such as brochures, newsletters and websites.
