Kristin Haakenson

Kristin is the Student Services Coordinator for LSC.  She manages the application process for the graduate program along with warrant requests, preliminary exams, and student records.  Kristin refers students to UW campus resources and meets with prospective students. She is responsible for managing the departmental timetable and student registration. Kristin is an alumna of LSC with both an undergraduate and Master’s degree.  She returned to UW-Madison for a second Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology.  Before joining LSC, Kristin worked with Kellogg’s, and more recently in career development and career and education research at UW-Madison.

Linda Heideman Nigbor

Linda serves in the role of University Business Specialist. She is responsible for supervision of the administrative staff positions in LSC and provides a broad range of administrative support for LSC and WSUM. Before joining LSC, Linda worked in the CALS HR Office as their Director of Human Resources. Prior to returning to school and subsequent employment in human resources, Linda worked at UW-Madison in microbiology.

Amber Schultz

University Services Program Associate

Amber is the University Services Program Associate for LSC. She serves as the undergraduate program liaison for students and the public, develops and maintains the timetable for graduate and undergraduate programs and manages undergraduate student registration. She also serves as a member of the LSC Undergraduate Student Affairs Committees and the department undergraduate recruitment process. Amber is an alumna of LSC and has previously worked for UW Health and CUNA Mutual Group.

Dave Black

Dave Black worked in commercial radio through most of the 1980s as a news and sports director, anchor, reporter and editor.  He has a master’s degree from San Francisco State University in Radio and TV; an M.A. from UW-Madison in Journalism and Mass Communication.  His interests are coaching leaders, pop culture criticism, and reading non-fiction.  He and his wife have two grown children and live in Sun Prairie.
