Bret Shaw and Dominique Brossard from the Department of Life Sciences Communication received a 2-year, $124,513 Aquatic Invasive Species Control Grant from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.  The grant addresses the following activities: 1.) In partnership with the University of Wisconsin Survey Center, statewide polls will be conducted each year to evaluate the success of current and future strategic campaign efforts; 2.) Based on data that will be collected on an ongoing basis, Shaw and Brossard will plan coordinated AIS-prevention campaigns through the 2010 and 2011 fishing seasons; 3.) Shaw and Brossard will work with key opinion leaders to change public perceptions regarding AIS.
