Writer in CALS External Relations, Nicole Miller, won one of the two first-place honors in regional awards competition sponsored by CASE. The Fixing Our Food series, written by Miller and Michael Penn, won gold in the Best Feature Series category.  This award was for feature article in Grow magazine.

Miller expresses how she feels about her award: “I feel so lucky that I get to spend my days looking for good stories, talking to CALS scientists and writing about what they do in (hopefully) interesting and easy-to-understand ways. The Fixing Our Food series was especially fun because we were able to cover so many different perspectives in one big piece.”
