Dietram Scheufele, professor in life sciences communication, has been named as co-chair of the National Conference of Lawyers and Scientists. NCLS is a joint committee set up by the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the American Bar Association to examine and guide policy surrounding scientific development. Scheufele, who has already served a three-year term on NCLS, was appointed co-chair by AAAS. The other co-chair was appointed by ABA.
